Evacuation signs

EVACUATION SIGNS
Safety of any building depends, among other things, on appropriate signage. They not only help you to move around inside the building, but also, as in the case of escape signs, allow you to leave the building safely, efficiently. They are also an essential piece of equipment, without which it is impossible for the building to be taken back and approved for use by the fire brigade. By using the correct signage, it is possible to leave the building smoothly.
The escape signs produced by ANRO function as passive fire protection. It is the responsibility of the building manager and the health and safety inspector to place them in the correct location. Failure to display appropriate combined and complementary signage, in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs, can result in a fine.
Our product range includes the following signs:
*evacuation signs, including complementary and combined signs,
*reverses to evacuation signs,
*photoluminescent floor signs.
All of these types of signs, primarily serve the purpose of proper marking of escape routes. They make it easier to make plans to leave the building and also to indicate the exit. Combination and complementary escape signs also make it easier to move around the building on a day-to-day basis. The combination and complementary signs produced by ANRO are designed to inform you of the shortest, safest way out of the building.
One of the most important combined and complementary signage is that which indicates an exit. Each building usually has several exits, all of which are included by the plans. Therefore, when ordering, it is important to take into account the number of all exits, as well as their arrangement, in order to reach the door as quickly as possible. All the products offered by our shop comply with current safety standards and regulations.
The products offered by ANRO have been designed in accordance with health and safety requirements. They allow you to mark exits, evacuation directions and other necessary elements. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are at your disposal and will endeavour to respond to all correspondence as quickly as possible, to advise you and to help you solve any problems. Signs play an important role not only during a fire, passing them every day in the corridor raises awareness of the need to comply with fire safety rules. You are welcome to contact us either by telephone or by e-mail.
WHERE TO LOOK FOR EVACUATION SIGNS IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
If you are in a room during a life- or health-threatening situation, escape signs are always located right next to the exit. Depending on whether they are made of photoluminescent material or additionally illuminated, they may be on the wall or hanging from the ceiling. In addition, when sliding doors or glazed key places are installed in the room, the relevant information is located directly on the glass. White symbols or lettering on a green background clearly indicate the direction of evacuation or the presence of necessary rescue tools.
HOW TO PROTECT THE SURFACE OF EVACUATION SIGNS?
In order to maintain the full functionality of all escape signs, it is important to keep a few simple things in mind. First of all, it is natural for dust to settle, which in the case of photoluminescent material can weaken its transparency. It is therefore advisable to keep it clean on a regular basis. Furthermore, symbols should not be placed close to hazardous chemicals that could damage their surface in any way. Any solvent- or petrol-based liquids can undoubtedly affect the legibility of escape signs. They should also not be subjected to knocks, scratches or bending. Cracking or puncturing their surface may result in the need to replace the symbol with a new one.
HOW TO POSITION EVACUATION SYMBOLS CORRECTLY?
Depending on the information that the relevant signs and symbols carry, their placement varies, but is similar. Above all, they must be installed in visible locations with adequate daylight. If this is not possible, the best solution would be to hang them near lamps so that the photoluminescent material can charge to a sufficient degree. For wall-mounted signs, they should be placed at a height of 1.5 to 2 metres. Their ceiling-mounted counterparts, on the other hand, should be more than 200cm above the floor.
In addition, they should be placed where, during an evacuation, a person trying to get out of the building has a choice of several pairs of doors. They must clearly indicate the correct direction of the route leading to a safe exit.
