Fire-protection signs

Every company and institution must adequately secure its premises. In addition to protective systems, signs that comply with occupational health and safety standards are also necessary. One of the elements of such building equipment are fire safety signs with a signature. Thanks to them, important signs can be placed in a visible place, which define certain rules, e.g. informing about the smoking ban or facilitating evacuation during a dangerous situation.
The Fire Prevention Act makes it compulsory to display the relevant warning signs with the signature in all schools, workplaces, office buildings and public buildings. Their presence makes it possible to inform people about the rules of behaviour in dangerous situations and the procedures in force at the facility. The products offered by ANRO meet the PN-92/N-01256/01 standard and are compliant with ISO 7010, which means that they comply with the fire safety regulations in force.
To ensure that the occupants of a building can evacuate it during a fire, the building must be properly prepared. To do this, you need to display warning and information signs, which will provide information on what to do in a given moment or where to find rescue equipment.
Types of signs:
- fire-protection
- supplementary fire-prostection with text
- fire-safety
- no smoking
We also have technical Fire Protection Measures.
These types of signage are essential elements that will allow the building to be picked up by the fire brigade, as well as facilitating a possible evacuation in the event of a fire or other emergency. Fire signs allow the building to be properly marked, which in turn significantly improves the process of leaving the building. Such signage makes it easier for employees to find the nearest emergency exit and direct themselves to a safe location.
Equally important is a smoking ban, which will help to separate areas suitable for smokers and allow for additional fire protection.
Our products's range also includes signature fire safety signs, which are posted in areas where the risk of fire is particularly high. They are intended to inform, for example, about the prohibition of smoking or the use of open flames, which could become the cause of a fire.
It is important to bear in mind that such signs, e.g. no smoking signs, are installed in visible locations so that people in the building can easily find them in the event of a safety situation. The visibility of a sign is very much influenced, for example, by its lighting. It is the responsibility of the building manager to ensure that the building is adequately marked.
WHAT FIRE SIGNS SHOULD BE USED?
Public buildings should have adequate equipment to protect and assist in taking the correct steps in the event of emergencies, accidents and fires.
Fire safety signs are commonly used to mark the locations of fire extinguishers, blankets, sprinklers or alarm buttons. They are also intended to inform people indoors or outdoors where smoking is allowed and where it is prohibited. Signs furthermore warn of areas with potentially hazardous materials.
TYPES OF FIRE SIGNS
Among the signs available on our website, the classic, distinctive signs from the current ISO standard should be given priority. It is the responsibility of the building's administrators to post them in appropriate places inside and outside the building. These are white symbols on a red background, such as a fire extinguisher, blanket, fire detector, telephone and emergency button, ladder, hydrant, sprinkler or place with protective equipment (helmets, masks).
If a place stores hazardous materials, they should be marked with triangle-shaped signs. These have black signs on a yellow background, warning of the type of material: flammable, oxidising and explosive.
SUPPLEMENTING OF EXISTING SIGNS
Warning signs can be found in many buildings and, above all, on their premises. With such additions, one can be sure that prohibitions are not overlooked or misunderstood. Some people may not recognise the meaning of the drawings on the signs, but after reading the inscriptions, they will have no doubts as to the content of the fire safety sign.
Oblong signs include, but are not limited to, the following: no smoking, fire road, fire zone, no smoking in the entire facility/establishment/building, no naked flames and access gate. Smaller signs are also based on a similar principle, with a smaller inscription below the leading symbol. They are worth using where the administration is not sure that a single sign will be read correctly.
